The sunset over the city was stunning this evening so, in true Wayne style, I took the obligatory thousand photos whilst straddling my skylight. Ever since I was a wee lad, I have always regarded October as a magical month with its cold, crisp air and vibrant shades of gold and bronze. Autumn at its best and I love it.

I was forced home for the weekend so that I could attend some horrific family meal tomorrow night. Needless to say, I’m laying in bed on a friday night seriously pondering whether this indeed is the life I chose …. This album is making it somewhat bearable however. Thank the lord for The Sounds.

Delightful. But the Fens look so beautifully wintery today. The sunlight has that strange October glow and the sky is a flat, dull white. It’s at this time of year that I actually appreciate living in England’s most barren of landscapes. I’m glad that I’m home to see it.
