This was taken at 1:30pm, I kid you not.
I have never experienced so much rain and darkness in my life…..
The sunset over the city was stunning this evening so, in true Wayne style, I took the obligatory thousand photos whilst straddling my skylight.
Ever since I was a wee lad, I have always regarded October as a magical month with its cold, crisp air and vibrant shades of gold and bronze.
Autumn at its best and I love it.
For some insane reason, I decided a few weeks ago to start re-reading ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife’ ready to see the new film.
Well I finally finished it today and let me just say that I forgot how extremely tedious it was the first time around.
I’ll still see the film though - I’m holding out and hoping that they manage to salvage something decent from amongst the sentimental drivel and unnecessary tense jumping.
Don’t get me wrong, despite the tediousness, it’s a good story. I just wish old Audrey hadn’t gone all Stephen King on our arses and filled half of the pages with mindless crap.
I can’t help but think that the film will have had to cut most of it out ……. which to be honest, definitely isn’t a bad thing.
Trying to judge the perfect day for a beach visit in this country is kind of like playing russian roulette with the weather. Luckily, I am a master when it comes to sky watching and, despite the sheer abundance of inbreds/chavs, we ended up having an awesome day on the Norfolk coast!
(Cue stereotypical seaside star jump photo)

When life gets too serious:
Act immaturely and pose with fruit!
One of the drawbacks of having five ponds is that we are invaded by frogs when it rains.
They don’t like their photos being taken either ….

I’m loving all of these new Marmite flavoured things that seem to have come out of nowhere.
The rice cakes are my new obsession …. mmmmmm!
My philosophy in life is to seek out the good in any situation, no matter how bad your spirits may be at the time. That way, you can thank the bad for helping you find the good and in the process waste a lot less time feeling angry.
So after waking up (yet again) at 5:30am with a cramping stomach, I threw open the curtains ready for the morning sunrise.
Looking out at the glowing sky as the sun cast golden patterns of dappled light across the bedspread, I soon forgot the reason I was even awake …
I was just glad that I was.
Thank you stomach cramps and insomnia.
The storm is coming but I don’t mind.
People are dying, I close my blinds.
All that I know is I’m breathing now.
I want to change the world, instead I sleep.
I want to believe in more than you and me.
But all that I know is I’m breathing.
All I can do is keep breathing.
All we can do is keep breathing now.
All that I know is I’m breathing.
All I can do is keep breathing.
All we can do is keep breathing now.
- ‘Keep Breathing’ by Ingrid Michaelson (one of the most beautiful songs ever)
